PharmaSols - HiRO announcement

Media Release

We are excited to announce that on 30 November 2021 Pharmaceutical Solutions (PharmaSols) was acquired by newly established global CRO, Harvest Integrated Research Organization (HIRO), headquarters based in Shanghai.

As part of the HiRO Family, PharmaSols will be unchanged. Same team of regional experts, same leadership, just stronger with a wider service offering, global network and investment in market leading integrated systems and processes.

During the past nine months, key personnel within HiRO and PharmaSols have worked together with a shared commitment and vision to form this new global partnership. We are aligned in our commitment to delivering successful clinical trials through a dedicated team of experts, committed to being the global CRO team of choice.

PharmaSols is the first addition to HiRO’s global team. Both companies are highly complementary with strong clinical research networks, both globally and throughout Asia and the Pacific. HiRO brings to PharmaSols the ability to operate as a global full service CRO.

Our clients will directly benefit from our combined depth and breadth of experience and commitment to deliver quality clinical trials.

HiRO is led by CEO Karen Chu, a highly experienced senior executive in the global clinical research industry. Prior to recently establishing HiRO with a team of CRO/Biotech/Pharma veterans, Karen was Parexel’s Head of Global Clinical Operations. The HiRO Team identified that changes in the international clinical trials landscape meant that global sponsors required greater support to navigate complex regulatory and clinical trial requirements. A team of global experts were needed to work more collaboratively with biotechs and pharmaceutical companies to deliver effective cross border solutions in clinical trial design, execution and project management.

“We immediately recognised kindred spirits in the team at PharmaSols. Highly talented and dedicated, their combination of professionalism and flexibility is exactly what biotechs need from a CRO partner.” - Karen Chu, CEO

We look forward to our future together, working and growing alongside our global business partners and sponsors to deliver effective clinical trials solutions.

Better together – “Kia pai te kotahi”
